About the Recipe

The spicy Soppressata salami gives this version of fried ravioli a unique twist.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Package of MDI girl Soppressata Ravioli

  • Enough Canola oil to fill up to 1/4 inch in a small skillet

  • Italian bread crumbs

  • 1 egg

  • 3 tablespoons of water

  • Chopped basil and parmesan cheese for garnish

*Serve with your favorite jarred sauce or goes great with the farmers market tomato sauce, check this site for recipe.

Preparation

Thaw the package of MDI Girl Soppressata Ravioli for about 10 minutes just to loosen. when none are frozen together you are ready to go.

Wisk egg with 3 tablespoons of water.

Dip frozen ravioli one at a time into the egg wash then into the Italian breadcrumbs.

Heat oil on medium. I like to start with just one to make sure the oil is hot. When the first one comes out golden brown you are ready to go. Fry in batches until golden brown.

Top with parmesan and chopped basil. Serve with your favorite tomato sauce.
